Teaching the Fundamentals of Caring
OLL believes that one of the best ways to serve Christ, is through service to others. As a catholic community, we work with many organizations to give back.
There have been some necessary changes to community involvement for our students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many events have been cancelled, and plan to resume when it is safe to do so.
We have continued to find ways to give! So far, in the 2020-21 academic year, we have helped these wonderful organizations:
- The BRICK Ministries, Inc., by collecting donations during our Baby Jesus Birthday Party.
- Ashland Aging Unit, by decorating food bags that were used in their meal delivery program.
- Students decorated Christmas cards for residents of Ashland Health Services.
- Gifts were collected and cards were made for the residents at Northern Lights Services, in Washburn, WI.
- Middle School students participate in the VFW's Patriot Pen Essay contest.
- Pet Supplies have been collected for Helping PAWS Pet Rescue

FAMILIES SHARE THEIR THOUGHTS
"My child is excited to go to school everyday which shows she enjoys it. You are creating a fun and enjoyable learning environment for the kids. They are learning a lot despite all the challenges of this year."
"I think academics are important of course, but I really like the religious/community service aspect."
"We are not Catholic, but do believe in Christ. We don't attend any church services. But I have been so thankful that {my son} has been able to learn about Christ and faith. It's so beautiful to hear him pray and give thanks to God and talk about Jesus and Mary and all of God's creatures. Thank you all so much!"
